Hello Everyone,
We've returned from China a couple of weeks ago and wanted to give you an update on the latest developments.
We did a first run of 10 units and got a production yield of 60%. That means that 6 out of the 10 were in good condition and ran properly. We did however, get 9 working after reworking them and lost one sample. This is normal and now we know what went wrong and have made changes on the production line.
Our next step, and this is what we are doing now, is to produce 100 units and do the same testing. This time we expect to get a much higher yield, so we will have the first 100 units to ship! We are planning to send these in the order we the pledges were received. We will reach out to each of the first 100 backers and confirm before we ship. After this first batch, we will test and make corrections if needed then we will do a large production run.
We are waiting on our supplier to confirm the production date for this order (some of the components were on back order so they could not start yet) However we expect that to happen 3 weeks. We will be going back to china the first week of July to be there for the production process.
Attached are some pictures of the helmet. They look great! We've also posted of video showing how the helmet works.
